Cheryl A. Sadro, CPA, MSM, is the Chief Financial Officer for UC Davis Health. In her role, she provides executive oversight for the overall financial operations of UC Davis Health, including UC Davis Medical Center, ambulatory clinics, the School of Medicine, Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the Medical Group, and various partnerships and affiliations. She is responsible for Financial Planning, Decision Support and Operations, all revenue cycle functions including Health Information Management and Patient Financial Access, Financial Services, and Facilities Planning and Development.

Her career spans more than 35 years of service in public accountancy and financial leadership of major, mission-based health systems.

She joined UC Davis Health from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where she was the executive vice president and chief business and finance officer, a position she held for seven years. At UTMB, she oversaw the health system’s finance divisions, supply chain, managed care contracting, and revenue cycle. Prior to that role, she was a CFO with Catholic Health Initiatives and Ascension Health, serving on corporate-level teams addressing national financial operations, mergers and acquisitions, national payer strategy, and clinical and operational effectiveness. Her organizational roles have also included accountability for human resources, IT, facility design and construction, strategic planning and marketing, as well as responsibility for certain outpatient clinical departments.

Sadro has been recognized on multiple occasions as one of the Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management  Association. She also is a contributor to many health care CFO groups and regularly participates in national health care discussions. She and her husband Frank have two adult children.
